SACRAMENTO STATE COMPETITIVE WATER SKI TEAM

Welcome to the Sacramento State Water Ski Team. In a competitive effort with the Sacramento State Aquatic Center and Associated Students, we provide some of the best collegiate water skiing opportunities in the Western United State. We are officially recognized as a sports club, who competes as a team, both regionally and nationally. Our team has held more regional titles and national appearances than any other school in the Western Conference. In October of 2007 we placed 5th in division 1 at the 29th annual NCWSA Collegiate Water Ski Nationals, hosted at Bennett’s Ski School in Zachary, Louisiana.

Sacramento State is responsible for many regional and national champions, including the All- Americans. It is our goal to provide the highest quality education, while ensuring our students and members have the opportunity to learn, train, and compete in an environment that is positive, competitive, and rewarding.

For the water ski enthusiast who is interested in competitive water skiing, which includes; slalom, trick and jump or someone who just wants to work on their technique, Sacramento State is where you want to be. Our club/team started with just 5 members and over the years has continued to grow. Everyone is welcome, and everyone is encouraged to come check out the water ski team.

The Sac State Water Ski Team is associated with the Sac State Aquatic Center, without them we would not have the boats and connections we do. The Aquatic Center offers a variety of water activities to the students of Sacramento State. With this affiliation our team has exclusive use of a new tournament/competition water ski boat, two private water ski lakes equipped with jump ramps, slalom courses and can provide any equipment that you may need, such as: wetsuits, booms, slalom ski, trick ski, jump skis, helmets, life jackets, etc. The water ski teams coaches are AWSA senior rated drivers, regional and national competitors, a intercollegiate national champion, collegiate All-American, coach of ten conference championship teams, have over nineteen years of competitive experience and are both Sac State Water Ski Team alumni. All other drivers and team coaches are USA Water Ski rated drivers and are certified in CPR, first aid, and trained lifeguards. The only people allowed to drive Sac State Aquatic Center tournament boats are employees of the Sac State Aquatic Center and rated drivers.
