7th-8th Grade Rowing Program

Learn to Row! Capital Crew Apprentice Program is geared toward middle school aged athletes that are looking for a unique sport that will challenge and educate them in life and sport.  Our program focuses on the essentials of rowing, in the form of sculling (rowing with two oars per athlete.)   The athletes will learn the basics in coxed quads, and octuple boats.

This camp is perfect for those new to rowing, offering a fun and structured introduction to the sport.  This camp is geared towards novice/beginners, it covers the essentials: safety, boat control, proper care of equipment and correct rowing technique. Campers will have the chance to practice rowing in single shells as well as team boats.  Campers will receive coaching in both sculling and sweep rowing.  This entry-level camp is an excellent opportunity for those curious about Olympic Style rowing and might be considering it for high school.
